Queensland Motorcycle School’s Qride Course is a competency-based assessment course for you to obtain your RE OPEN/ P2 Licence after gaining your learner licence (RE L) from Queensland Transport or completing the Pre-Learner Course.
The course consists of theory and practical riding, in which attitude, protective clothing and road craft are learnt. The slow speed assessments consist of:
All on bike competencies are demonstrated by our fully qualified trainers. You will then be able to practice your new riding techniques before being assessed to be competent with each unit of the Qride assessment.
Once you have successfully completed all slow-speed competencies, we put everything you have learnt in the day into our on-road assessment. The on-road assessment offers a wide range of road scenarios from built-up traffic to open flowing bends that only the Sunshine Coast can offer and is a real highlight and a great way to finish off your QRide training and assessment day.
On successful completion of your QRide RE course, you will be eligible to ride any Learner Approved Motorcycle (LAMS), unaccompanied for a minimum of 2Â years.
No pillion passenger is allowed to ride with you and a blood alcohol limit of 0.00 also applies for the first 12 months of riding your new RE O or P2 class motorcycle.
